Character, taste, and flavor:
The beer has a bright and slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head. The aroma is complex, with notes of citrus, funk, and herbal shiso. The taste is tart and sour, with flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and a slight bitterness from the shiso. The lambic fermentation process adds a subtle funkiness and dryness to the beer, making it a refreshing and easy-to-drink brew.
Ingredients:
Owa Shiso Lambic is brewed using a blend of high-quality malts, hops, and yeast, along with locally sourced shiso leaves. The lambic fermentation process uses wild yeast strains that are unique to the Senne Valley region of Belgium.
How to serve:
Owa Shiso Lambic is best served chilled, at a temperature between 4-6°C. The beer pairs well with a variety of foods, including sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes. It also makes a great accompaniment to cheese and charcuterie.
